Dr. Ghulam Mustafa is a highly skilled and experienced interventional cardiologist with over 23 years of experience in various hospitals. He joined Al-Ahli Hospital as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist in 2016 where he performs a variety of cardiac procedures.
After completing his MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan, in 1992, Dr. Mustafa furthered his education with an MRCP (Ireland) in 2004. He gained extensive experience working in Ireland from 1998 to 2016, where he held various roles, including Registrar General in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Sligo General Hospital and Registrar Cardiology at St. James Hospital Dublin.
Dr. Mustafa's expertise includes interventional cardiology procedures, and he has performed around 4000 Coronary Angiograms and 2000 percutaneous coronary interventions over the course of his career. His commitment to continuous learning is evident through his MSc in Cardiology from Trinity University, Ireland (2009), and his memberships with the Royal College of Physicians, Dublin, Ireland, where he holds designations as a Clinical Specialist in Diagnosis (CSD) and a Clinical Specialist in the Scientific Treatment (CSCST) in cardiology.

Dr. Ghulam Mustafa has had a diverse and extensive career in the field of interventional cardiology. After working for five years in Pakistan, he worked in Ireland from 1998 to 2016. His roles included Senior House Officer and Registrar General in Internal Medicine & Cardiology at Sligo General Hospital from 1998 to 2005. Later, at St. James Hospital Dublin, he held various positions, including Registrar in Cardiology, Interventional Fellow in Cardiology, and ultimately Consultant Interventional Cardiologist from 2014 to 2016.
Over his 23 years of experience, Dr. Mustafa has performed a significant number of cardiology procedures, including approximately 4000 Coronary Angiograms and 2000 percutaneous coronary interventions.
