Dr. Zaher brings a wealth of experience, having undergone specialty training in various hospitals in the United Kingdom then served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at County Durham and Darlington Hospital in the United Kingdom from 2019 to 2021. During this tenure, he assumed a leadership role as the head of medical retina, intravitreal injection, and uveitis services. His leadership role and extensive expertise in uveitis, medical retinal and neuro-ophthalmology conditions underscore his commitment to providing high-quality eye care services. 

Field of Expertise:

His sub specialization focuses on the comprehensive diagnosis and management of infectious and non-infectious UVEITIS (inflammatory eye disease). For this purpose he has particularly undergone special training and licensed for the use of immunosuppression in the treatment of non-infectious uveitis.
Dr. Zaher is an expert in diagnosing and managing medical retinal conditions, covering diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, macular degeneration, peripheral retinal degenerations and dystrophies, as well as genetic disorders impacting the retina. He is proficient in the use of intravitreal injections and retinal LASER in the treatment of these conditions.
His expertise extends to the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions affecting the eyes, including optic neuritis and ocular nerves palsies which are related to neurological or medical disorders. 
Additionally, he is capable of the management of other general eye disorders such as eyelid abnormalities, corneal abrasions, corneal ulcers, orbital cellulitis, allergic eye conditions, dry eyes, thyroid eye disease and glaucoma.
