He earned his M.Sc. and M.D. degrees in orthopedics and skeletal trauma surgery, conducting notable research on cartilage graft and biomechanics of hip fractures fixation. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Gamal has been actively involved in teaching, research, and consultancy, dedicating more than 10 years to training programs in prestigious teaching hospitals and institutes.
During his 14-year tenure at Hamad Medical Corporation, Dr. Gamal served as the team leader for the Scoliosis and Spinal Deformities program for 8 years. He collaborated with renowned international spinal scoliosis surgeons from the UK, Germany, and France, contributing to numerous complex spinal surgeries. Dr. Gamal also engaged in research projects in collaboration with Qatar University, boasting several publications in international periodicals.
