Dr. Samar Hassouneh is an accomplished Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology with over 13 years of clinical and surgical experience across both private and public healthcare settings in the United States. She is highly regarded for her specialized expertise in vulvar diseases, menopause management, and comprehensive women’s health care.

Dr. Hassouneh pursued her medical education at the prestigious Harvard Medical School, earning her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2007. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Health System, where she gained in-depth training and collaborated with leading experts in vulvar diseases. Her commitment to advancing women’s health led her to serve as a Clinical Instructor and Faculty member at the University of Michigan’s Center for Vulvar Diseases from 2011 to 2018, during which she also co-directed the center.
Throughout her career, Dr. Hassouneh has held several key roles, including Assistant Medical Director for Women’s and Children’s Health at Michigan Medicine’s Northville Health Center. She has worked in a variety of clinical environments, including hospitals and academic institutions, honing her skills in managing complex gynecological conditions, as well as high-risk pregnancies. She founded a specialized clinic for vulvar diseases within a residency training program at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital, reflecting her dedication to both patient care and medical education.
Dr. Hassouneh joined Al-Ahli Hospital in August 2024, bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience in women’s health care to the region. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and maintains board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
